The Festival returns to Mill Avenue in a familiar spot. MADCAP Theaters (which took over the Harkins Centerpoint) is the home of the IHSFF. The Festival will kick off on Thursday, October 14th with our Opening Night Event featuring a screening of “Drones” with a special guest appearance by the film’s director Adam Busch (Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

Then on Friday, October 15th, we'll be rocking 3 screens with some of the best in independent horror and sci-fi flicks. We'll also be featuring the original "The Fog" that night with a special guest appearance from Charles Cyphers. Films will continue into the night, featuring retro and late night fare. Don't forget about the party that night featuring the Gore Girl Competition. After all what's a Festival, without a party.

On Saturday, October 16th the finest in independent Horror and Sci-fi feature and shorts will be continue to be screened as the competition films take center stage. In the evening we'll be inducting Lance Henriksen into the International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival Hall of Fame and screening his classic film, "Aliens". Later that night will be the inaugural, Saturday Night Beat the Geek Challenge and Party.

Then on Sunday, October 17th the films continue to roll on three screens. More indie and retro titles will be scattered throughout the day. We've also got our Closing Night Film, "Night of the Demons" with actress Tiffany Shepis in person to discuss the film afterwards. Prior to the screening of "Night of the Demons" we’ll announce the award winners.

THE PARTIES
Come by each night for a beverage after you're done seeing movies! The parties will be held conveniently inside MADCAP Theaters.

Friday Night Bash with Gore Girl Contest | 9pm to 1am
Kick off the Festival with a cold brew. Chat with other festival attendees and our fabulous filmmakers! Just a warning; pace yourself because the Festival is just getting started. Don't forget about the Gore Girl Competition where the winners will be announced at Midnight! The Gore Girl Competition is presented by www.ICanSmellYourBrains.com and Zia Records

Saturday Night Party with Beat The Geek Challenge | 9pm to 1am
Join us for our first face-off between Horror & Sci Fi Fans and our International Horror & Sci Fi Experts in an epic battle of the brains! Think you know a lot about Horror or Sci Fi Films? Sign up online, 3 contestants will be selected to represent each genre (Horror & Sci Fi) and to challenge our resident geeks in a contest based on trivia questions. Contestants will be hand-picked and will compete on Saturday October 16th at 10.30pm in the New Times Auditorium and is presented by Bookmans Entertainment Exchange.
